The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently traveling to the Fernie two Community Hall in Mpuluzi to render companies on the community.

SASSA will be rendering companies including new social grant applications, change of payment method, customer treatment enquiries, together with the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In an announcement, the agency stated it can be alarmed with regards to the large number of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The aim on the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to a substantial number of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“That is because of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there website is no thoroughly functional office devoted to service the area each day. The assistance issue created for intervention encounters a substantial inflow of opportunity beneficiaries, which makes it hard for that Workplace to attend to all people who go to a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise far more means to enable the servicing of SRD all consumers and raise usage of Social Assistance solutions,” the agency said.
